" Iedereen communiceert. Maar begrijpen we elkaar ook?"
Serena is a robust 14-year-old. She wonders why she is so unfriendly to the boys she actually likes, and why it is so hard for her to express her worries about her grandparents' smoking habit. Eventually, she writes a poem to them. In voice-over, Serena investigates how and why she communicates with the people around her - in class, on the tram, at home and on her way from one place to another. The film addresses and incorporates all these different means of communication, including MSN, cell phone, instant messages, and just plain talking. It deals with the vital questions of a modern adolescent ("If everyone just had a personal dictionary, you would understand what they meant.") and provides some insight into the life of a 21 century metropolitan teenager along the way.
